PLEN Women, Law, and Legal Advocacy Seminar

College women considering careers in law will explore the connections between legal careers and the legislative process in Washington, D.C. This seminar exposes students to a range of professional opportunities in law, from issue-based advocacy to government service. Create a professional network: In three days, students considering a legal career will learn the potential benefits of attending law school from women who work in policy every day. Students will participate in a Networking Reception, in which they have the opportunity to jump-start their professional development by meeting with distinguished women. Develop your professional skills: Perfect your résumé during our résumé workshop breakout session, learn insider tips on finding a job or internship in Washington, and create a winning strategy for acing your next interview. Become a leader: Learn about leadership skills, goal-setting, and work-life balance from women who excel in the legal and policy fields. Make connections with student leaders from across the country who will become your future colleagues in Washington, D.C. The Public Leadership Education Network (PLEN) is the only national organization with the sole focus of preparing college women for leadership in the public policy arena.
