ONS Policy Summit: Approaches to Patient-Centered Care
This inaugural ONS Policy Summit, Approaches to Patient Centered Care, is a collaborative summit meant to engage the cancer care ecosystem in thoughtful dialogue around current key issues facing patients, providers, payers, patient advocacy organizations, and industry. This summit explores opportunities and successful initiatives used in current practice to develop and implement process and outcome measures related to patient symptom experience and clinical use of evidence-based interventions. The summit also explores the alignment of clinical trial implementation to the advances in precision medicine both in academic centers and the community setting. Impact on the nursing workforce and scope of practice will also be addressed within the panel discussions. ONS is pleased to partner for the first time with the Association of American Cancer Institutes (AACI) in the delivery of the afternoon clinical trials panel discussion. This summit is being held under the auspices of the new ONS Center for Advocacy and Health Policy.
