Nancy Naomi Carlson is a poet, translator, essayist, and editor, and has authored eight titles (5 translated), including The Nomads, My Brothers, Go Out to Drink from the Big Dipper (Seagull Books, 2015), translationsof Abdourahman Waberi, which was a “Best Translated Book Award” finalist, and for which Carlson receiveda grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to translate. A recipient of grants from the MarylandState Arts Council and the Montgomery County Arts & Humanities Council, she serves as the Poet Laureate for the Kensington Day of the Book Festival. Infusion of Violets, her second full-length poetry collection, is forthcoming from Seagull Books (distributed by the University of Chicago Press) in 2019. Carlson’s workhas appeared in such journals as The American Poetry Review, AGNI, Boulevard, The Georgia Review,Poetry, and Prairie Schooner. www.nancynaomicarlson.com

Christina Daub co-founded The Plum Review, a national award winning poetry journal, started The PlumWriters Retreats and The Plum Reading Series which featured Joseph Brodsky, Carolyn Forché, MarkStrand and many others. Recent poems appear in The Southampton Review as well as the anthologies Full Moon on K Street: Poems About Washington, DC, edited by Kim Roberts, 180 More: ExtraordinaryPoems for Every Day, and The Paradelle, both edited by Billy Collins. She is a recipient of a Young American Poet's award and her work has been translated into Russian, Italian and German. She has taught Poetry and Creative Writing in the English Department at George Washington University and in both the Maryland and Virginia Poets-in-the-Schools programs as well as to adults for many years at The Writer's Center. Her poem,“At the One Step,” received a 2017 Pushcart Prize nomination from Beltway Poetry Quarterly.
