It's Official...Ready, Set, Engage! Our team of champion community mentors are looking forward to working with your teen(s) this summer for the 2018 Books Motivate College Planning Series Workshop! Reserve a limited space on our class roster before the registration deadline, June 20. We have planned an informative, enjoyable, and valuable take-away college prep workshop over four Saturdays in July for teen students. There will be information provided to highlight self-assessment related to career and college selection. Each student will receive assistance in completing a portfolio of assignments with a timeline for specified goal achievement, which includes college applications essays, financial aid and scholarship requirements. We discuss a summary of key leadership and team building principles that may be applied to current projects of personal interest to students and their families. We emphasize the importance of individual determination, but also cultivating networks of support, which surround the student. This would include community networks for personal references as they build an academic/career resume for acceptance into higher education and career settings. Breakfast, Lunch, and valuable resources are included. A limited number of full and partial scholarships are also available to cover summer program costs. Required Summer Reading Book Title: Everyday Leadership: Attitudes and Actions for Respect and Success (a guidebook for teens) by Mariam G. MacGregor, M.S. Our students gain acceptance to the best colleges and universities in the U.S. and internationally. Every student who attends will be at an advantage in possibly obtaining coveted seats at Ivy League and other top ranking higher education institutions. We also mentor students with assistance in attending community colleges and state colleges/universities, or "safety" educational institutions. We are so delighted to share our expertise building a summer of youth leadership and achievement. Register here!
