Gentle Yoga to Build Positive Body Image
Does your perception of your body image hold you back from taking risks or living life? Does negative self talk about your body fill up a lot of space in your head? Does your relationship with food or exercise feel off balance? Do you want a safe space to practice yoga without triggering language such as reminders of "swimsuit season"? Do you want to be more aware of your bodies needs and signals? If you resonate with any of these questions, join us for this gentle yoga class! Through yoga practice, mindfulness and body awareness exercises, we'll begin to explore how yoga can be a part of healing from an eating disorder and developing and maintaining a more positive body image. No experience with yoga is necessary, this class is appropriate for all levels. All bodies are welcome! Wear clothing you can move comfortably in and bring a yoga mat if you have one (If you need one, please RSVP 24 hours in advance and let us know you need a mat). Thank you!
